A. The submission fee is $25, and after filling out all of the submission form above you will be directed to a payment page. You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card.
Q. Do you require the filmmaker(s) to be present during the screening if selected?
A. No, but it is preferred and recommended.
Q. What are the dates for Brooklyn Comedy Festival 2017?
A. The festival takes place August 21st-27th.
Q. How many people who submit via this process will be chosen?
A. We cannot determine in advance how many people will be chosen. It really depends on the quality and length of those accepted.
Q. When can I expect to hear back about my submission?
A. We’ll email those we’ve chosen by mid-July.
Q. Will you let me know if my film is NOT accepted?
A. We will only contact those who we are accepting. If you do not hear from us by the acceptance deadline, please assume you have not been accepted this year. Also, don’t take a rejection to mean we don’t think you’re funny -- we just might not have room.
Q. Will Brooklyn Comedy Festival pay for my travel and/or lodging expenses if I am selected?
A. No, you must arrange for your own travel and lodging during the festival.
Q. If my film is not chosen, can I get my submission fee refunded?
A. Sorry, we cannot provide refunds if your film is not chosen for the screening.
